13 is a very lucky number!
We am pleased to extend another "Welcome Back" to more of our furloughed Sisters and Brothers. On 18 JAN 07 we received word that our Director, Howard Garbee will offer 13 (thirteen) recalls ASAP. The recall notification letters are being mailed on 23 JAN 07 (not 19 JAN as originally reported). The report date for this recall is 01 MAR 07.
PLEASE NOTE: You may pass this recall as long as there are sufficient junior furloughees who are able to be called back... BUT if you are the most junior furloughee who receives an offer to return then you must either accept recall or your name will be removed from the seniority list and you will lose your rights to a future recall. If there is any question concerning your rights to pass or accept then I encourage you to call and speak with one of our Union officers and to also call and speak with Mr. Garbee or Cassandra McCray at (704) 359-2770.
As for negotiations, we are disappointed to report that your negotiating committee is not scheduled to meet with the company until February (to work on the Transition Agreement to bring our PHX based instructors under the Agreement). And remember to mark February 1st on your calendars (Delta Creditors must agree to a review process, otherwise the enhanced offer expires)... That could become a red-letter date in the life of our airline.
